The Gloucestershire Business Awards announced the finalists for 2022 on Friday 12 August. Gravit8 is delighted to have been shortlisted as a finalist in the Innovation Award for our Virtual Event Platform.
The Business Awards is a celebration of incredible success stories across the county, from large, global corporations to SME’s. It’s a great opportunity to be part of a collective business community and support one another, whilst celebrating remarkable achievements.
We developed our Virtual Event Platform (VEP) in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Physical events, conferences and exhibitions were unable to take place during the various lockdowns and even as we began to move forward, the ever-changing restrictions still made this difficult. The world turned to virtual events, we pivoted our business model and developed a Virtual Event Environment that’s a truly 3D space.
Post-Covid, the VEP has found its niche as a virtual option for in-person events including exhibitions, trade shows, congresses, and networking events. Offering a breadth of features, including an integrated group or peer-to-peer virtual networking system and time-bound sponsorship branding throughout, it is a market-first for this level of complexity and graphical quality, providing brands with a direct opportunity to replicate their in-person events in a virtual way and to reach wider audiences.
Since the platform’s launch in November 2020, we have worked with international brands including Dixons Carphone Warehouse, Shell, ITV, AstraZeneca and Pfizer. In its first 24 months, the platform has facilitated 214 virtual events. Individual events have supported over 34,000 delegates (although the system is fully elastic and delegate hosting is virtually limitless), amassing over 2.6million attendees in total to the platform. Some of these events have been multi brand including an event with over 50 individual brand exhibition booths.
Brands have reported a boost in attendee numbers, often up 500% compared to in-person events, and the attraction of new delegates – 45% of healthcare professionals would not have attended a conference in-person.
Alastair Reece Managing Director says;
“In our vast experience of creating software for world leading brands at their in person events, this virtual experience will become a vital part of any brand’s event marketing strategy for lead generation or information delivery.”
The finalist announcement coincided with the launch of the DIY element of the Virtual Event Platform, allowing brands and agencies to create their own virtual event space and functionality. A ‘game-changing’ software solution which provides the most comprehensive virtual event environments on the market.
We’re incredibly proud of what we have achieved and are grateful to have been shortlisted in the Gloucestershire Business Awards. The Awards Ceremony takes place on Thursday 13 October at Cheltenham Racecourse from 6.30pm. Fingers crossed!
