Project Overview

Challenge: HP, in collaboration with CI Group, sought an engaging and interactive way to showcase key product messages at the GKO Event. They required a solution that would seamlessly present dynamic content when attendees interacted with physical objects, creating an intuitive and immersive experience.

Solution: Gravit8 developed a custom OR Reader application that allowed attendees to place objects on a designated scanner, triggering content on a large touchscreen. This solution ensured a smooth and engaging experience, automatically launching videos and descriptive text for each object.

How it works:

  • We programmed six unique objects each linked to specific content.
  • When an attendee placed an object on the scanner, it instantly triggered a video and accompanying text on the touchscreen.
  • The videos, supplied by CI Group, played automatically, making the interaction seamless and engaging.
  • Some videos even included audio, adding an extra layer of immersion.
  • To draw people in, a dynamic holding animation designed by CI Group played on the screen whenever the system was idle, subtly encouraging attendees to give it a go.

The Outcome

The Object Recognition Reading application provided a seamless and innovative way for attendees to explore HP’s key solutions. By integrating RFID technology with video and text content, the experience was both engaging and informative, ensuring strong attendee interaction and content retention.

This project highlighted the power of interactive digital experiences in enhancing event engagement and reinforcing brand messages effectively.
