The Challenge

When our client, DSA, approached us with an exciting project for Harmonic, we knew it was an opportunity to push the boundaries of mixed reality.

The goal? Showcase Harmonic’s latest products using the brand-new Apple Vision Pro headset at Angacom 24. However, with the headset not yet available in the UK, we had to source it from the United States and swiftly master the new development tools it required.

The Mission

Harmonic wanted to leverage the cutting-edge Apple Vision Pro to create an immersive and interactive experience for event attendees, The vision was to present 3D replicas of their products that visitors could explore and interact with within the physical stand space

Our Approach

Working closely with DSA and Harmonic, we tackled this ambitious project with a strategic game plan:

 

  • Sourcing the Hardware:

We managed to get hold of the Apple Vision Pro from the US, ensuring it arrived promptly to kickstart our development process.

 

  • Rapid Learning Curve:

Our team dived deep into learning the new Apple Vision Pro SDKs, utilising all available resources to get up to speed with this pioneering technology.

 

  • 3D Modelling and Animation:

Using CAD drawings and photographs provided by Harmonic, our team meticulously rendered and animated 3D replicas of three key products. Every detail was crafted to highlight the unique features and functionalities of each product.

 

  • Interactive Mixed Reality Experience:

We developed an application that allowed users to interact with these 3D models in a mixed reality environment. The products were animated with supporting text, providing a comprehensive and engaging user experience.

The Outcome

The result was a stunning centerpiece at Angacom 24 that attracted considerable attention. The Apple Vision Pro headset, featuring our meticulously crafted 3D models, allowed attendees to engage with Harmonic’s products like never before. The mixed reality experience not only showcased the potential of the Apple Vision Pro, but also showed off Harmonic’s dedication to cutting-edge tech.

This project really showcased our knack for adapting swiftly to new technologies and delivering outstanding results, even when working under tight deadlines. We demonstrated our capability to stay ahead of the curve and effectively integrate emerging tech into our solutions. Despite the pressures of a fast-paced environment, we managed to execute every detail with precision and creativity, ensuring that the final outcome not only met but exceeded expectations.
